Inno FuturePDCPD-RIM MOLDS

PDCPD · DCPD · Reaction injection molding

PDCPD-RIM molds from one specialist, design to first good part.

For ten years we have done one thing: tools for large PDCPD panels on tractors, excavators, trucks and buses. We design in Siemens NX, build the mold with long-term machining partners, and run the trial ourselves.

Services

Buy the design, or buy the finished mold.

Many North American molders already have a toolmaker. Many need PDCPD know-how on the drawing. We work either way.

DFM review

Send a STEP file of a part you are developing. Within a few working days you get a written review.

  • Draft, wall thickness and rib layout
  • Gate position and fill direction
  • Venting and air-trap risk
  • Parting line and core-pull proposal

Engineering service

Mold design

Complete NX mold design delivered as native files or STEP, with 2D drawings for your machine shop.

  • Part optimization for RIM
  • Parting surface and sealing grooves
  • Cast or machined aluminium mold structure
  • Cooling circuits, BOM and machining drawings

Turnkey

Complete mold

We design, build, assemble and trial the mold, then ship it ready to run on your press.

  • Forging or casting, CNC, surface finish
  • Assembly with inspection checklists
  • Trial molding with a written trial report
  • Export packing and documentation

How a mold project runs

Six stages, each closed with a checklist.

  1. 01

    Concept

Overall mold size, gate location and press fit agreed from your part data.

  2. 02

    Part optimization

Radii, ribs, draft, parting line and undercuts adjusted for reaction injection molding.

  3. 03

    Flow check

Fill and air-trap analysis, then runner, gate, overflow and vent design.

  4. 04

    Detailed design

Mold frame, guides, locks, core-pull cylinders, inserts and cooling, checked against our design review list.

  5. 05

    Build

Casting or forging, CNC machining, surface treatment and assembly, each with its own inspection list.

  6. 06

    Trial

Trial molding with recorded parameters and a shot-by-shot report before the mold ships.

Why work with us

What changes when your toolmaker only does PDCPD.

We know where PDCPD tools fail

Air traps on vertical concave parts, sink at screw bosses, long slides that bend, core pulls that crash. Our design rules come from fixing these on real molds.

We run the trial

A mold is finished when it makes a good part. We tune gates, vents and temperatures on the press and write down what we changed.

Your night is our working day

Send questions at the end of your day. Answers and revised models are usually waiting when you start the next morning.

Engineering cost that fits a low-volume program

PDCPD programs run hundreds to a few thousand parts a year. Our design rates make it easier to justify a proper mold for those volumes.

Questions from buyers

FAQ

Which file formats do you accept and deliver?

We receive STEP, IGES, Parasolid (x_t), CATIA and NX files. We deliver native NX files or STEP, plus 2D drawings in PDF and DWG. Metric or inch drawings on request.

Can you design to our own mold standards?

Yes. Send your standard components, frame conventions and drawing template, and we design to them so your shop can build the tool without rework.

What about import duties on molds from China?

Design services are delivered as files, so no import duty applies to them. For complete molds, duties on Chinese-made molds change often; we confirm the current rate with your customs broker before quoting.

How do you protect our part data?

We sign your NDA before receiving files and keep each customer's data in a separate project folder. We never show a customer's part without written permission.

How long does a mold take?

It depends on part size and complexity. Design time and build time are quoted separately for each project, with milestone dates in the contract.
